Highlight Housing specialises in the sale of new-build affordable housing throughout the UK, offering an in-depth knowledge of low-cost homeownership schemes and a thorough understanding of regulatory and planning frameworks. Committed to enhancing the advertising and promotion of affordable homes, Highlight delivers targeted campaigns to reach eligible buyers, educates individuals on alternative routes to homeownership, and supports them throughout their journey to purchasing a home.

The shared equity tenure offered by Places for People is part of the Scottish Government’s New Supply Shared Equity (NSSE) scheme. Through this initiative, buyers purchase between 60 to 80% of the property while Places for People retains the remaining equity share. Unlike shared ownership, no rent is charged on the retained equity share. This approach significantly lowers upfront costs and ongoing monthly payments, offering an affordable solution for individuals and families looking to step onto the property ladder.
